1983 was a year in which incorporated GBS hundreds of children in Móstoles. There were serious problems of school places, it was impossible to access classes 4 or 5 years if there were a large family.
At CP we touched Margarita Xirgu suffer a disappointment, as the school did not exist, some land was everything we saw. They assured us that September would be completed and begin classes as in other schools. Not so, children joined later.
We are young parents, with teachers mostly very young people with whom we tuteábamos (did not happen in our time) and it was easy to communicate.
Some teachers thought that came to the "Bronx", then found that people were just modest that he had not gotten a flat in Madrid.
In the first days of school, parents who already had older children commented on the need to form a "APA." And it was done. Some were parents in the strike that had more free time and other mostly women, very concerned about education of their children. Remember that in those days one of the main problems was the overcrowding of students.
Gradually the APA was a pineapple, collaborated with faculty in administrative work, ideas, etc. English classes were formed, theater, soccer, karate ... school is helped with cooking workshops, looms and more.
The relationship between teachers and APA was as it should be, sometimes cordial, tight others. Everyone from his position as what we agreed or disagreed things, but always with respect.
